so I am looking forward to seeing you all next week, on the 4th, 5th or 6th, ( at Holt Sports and Social Club on the Kelling Road instead of at Hunworth in the afternoon) and just to remind you that at the first lesson we will be drawing, as ever, and so you will need just A3 paper and a pencil of your choice, any sort is ok so long as it is 2b, (or not 2b)....
and as the term progresses you will need some black paper, sugar paper, childrens' craft paper or any black paper you can lay your hands on, and later some coloured paper such as you might find for wrapping, or again craft paper, sweet papers any colours which look good, mostly plain in colour. I only mention this as you might have wrapping and packing paper about just at the moment which might come in handy and which would otherwise be thrown away.
.....Oh yes and some Pritstick....
and Happy New Year!
The groups are going to continue, on a self help basis. So I will leave this blog in place so that groups can access all the old work as a resource......

Last Pictures
here are the last pictures ( I think) from the autumn term work.
It's always so interesting for me to see where the work goes. So I have an idea for the start of any term, hopefully with a lot of potential, and then you take the ideas and off you go in different directions.
The work has been amazing, and I feel that you have all been learning about artistic practice.
And I have had comments from several people who have been impressed by the work on show in the various Village Halls, so well done!

Do you have trouble with Santa Claus?
remember that if, by any chance, you think Father Christmas might bring you any art materials, as a surprise, sometimes he needs a little help. So write a CLEAR LIST of what you need and leave it in an obvious place, perhaps with his name at the top to attract his attention, so that when he visits the art shop at the North Pole he is not confused by the variety of items for sale, and buys you the wrong thing.......

HOMEWORK??????
just a reminder, since I know for a fact that several of you are already engaged in working on your homework, that the idea is that on an approximately 6 inch squareish piece of paper or card you can re-interpret, in any way, the little monochrome image I gave you.
I reproduced them in monochrome so that you could interpret in any colour, or non colour- way, you chose. You can go in any direction, mentally or physically, and you might even end up with a result which has no obvious connection with where you started.
Its not a competition, just a bit of fun to see how diverse and interesting all the diverse and interesting people working on it can be!
I really look forward to seeing the results!
