The groups are going to continue, on a self help basis. So I will leave this blog in place so that groups can access all the old work as a resource......

Something to do.......
....so here is an idea. We have done this before. It is a very useful way to use everyday flowers from your garden or hedgerow. Just pick some pretty bits and put them in a clean jam jar and then put the lid on.
You can arrange them tidily or at random, however you choose, and of course you could also include strips of ribbon, paper, type, anything that catches your eye in fact.
Because the jar is sealed the flowers will last well, and if you put the jar in the fridge when not in use they will last even longer. (though if you have paper in there it will get soggy)
Because the items can be pushed together at different angles they can look interesting, and juxtapositions between oddments can look more dynamic than the usual format of flowers in a vase. And you can hold the jar close up for an intimate view, or a view from underneath which you would normally never see.
You don't need to include the jar, it's just a mechanism to facilitate your drawing.....
So I hope this gives you a few ideas....
