Just a few notes about the Summer Schools....obviously bring anything you think you might need, thermal underwear, hot water bottle, comfy seat, (not an uncomfy stool!) sun hat etc. etc...Drawing board, paper.....
At Glandford you can park near the Art Cafe, or up near Cley Spy, and we will meet at the Shell Museum at 10 am....
September at Weybourne seems a long way off, but remember train stations can be a bit exposed and could be chilly and windy, so come prepared.
Pastels, bring anything you have in terms of paper and pastels, and Audrey will talk you through the best and worst materials, and there will be plenty of materials for you to use so please don't feel you have to go out and buy stuff beforehand. It would be better to wait till after the course so that you could buy exactly what you might need if you think pastels might be your thing...
Working from the Life Model you will need several bits of paper, A2 or A3, pastels, charcoal and what ever you might like to work in, although I should have my usual materials to supplement with.
Chinese Brush painters will need loads, and I mean loads, of paper, practise is key here. Newspaper, the backs of printer paper, anything cheap is fine. Have some good water colour paper too. Any brushes and what water colours you have. I will have some brushes and paint, and I will provide the chinese ink.
Paul's Lino Printing course includes all materials you might need, but you will need some rough paper for designs or notes, and some images to use, so please talk to Paul first about this. If your ideas and designs are well thought out you will have more time for cutting and printing and so make better use of the course.
Ask me if there is anything you need to know.....
