Phase two ..........

So the next phase of work is this......

Same criteria as last week which is

1. A frame or edge to your image

2. a groundline

3. a vessel

4. something in the vessel 

think about the positive shapes and negative shapes.

then a drawing in watercolour on coloured paper. The paint will sink in, and when it dries you can put more paint over it. You can do this with very dilute acrylic too. I think watercolour gives the more delicate effect. the watercolour needs to be thickish, and not too wet.

Then you can draw with pencil or pen over the paint to give detail and pattern.

the paper we used was good quality sugar paper. Try any sort of paper you have to see how it works as you never really know what result you will find!
