Norwich Print Fair...... don't miss it!

The 20th Norwich Print Fair will be on in St Margarets Church, St Benedicts Street, Norwich, from
September 7th till the 19th.
Monday to Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 11-4.
Open portfolio days are Saturday 12th and 19th, and Printmakers in Action, which features, guess what, Printmakers in Action, is on Sunday 13th September.

There is always a huge diversity of style, and strong composition is usually a feature of the excellent and professional prints which you will see.

BEGINNERS PLEASE

on Monday 21st September the new Beginners Class will start, 1.30-4.00 in Cawston Village Hall.
This will feature drawing mostly, being the basis of all art work, and a little colour theory. All you need is a 2B pencil and some A3 paper, and the willingness to learn. I will discuss materials during the lessons, and I will have items for you to see and try, so please don't feel you need to rush out and buy lots of stuff from the art shop!
I aim to de-mystify the whole artist process, and hope you will learn all the things you have always wanted to know but were afraid to ask! (Oh yes and enjoy the process too)
Any queries just contact me......

POP ART.....

if you missed the programme 'Soup Cans and Superstars; How Pop Art Changed the World' on BBC4 catch it on I Player. In my view it shows not so much how it changed the world but how it reflected the world I, and probably you too, grew up in.....

more Lino Prints, from our Summer Schools, held in Paul's Garden Studio....

here are some more prints, which some of you came back to continue working on, some
needed another layer of colour and it all takes time to do, letting the ink dry and so on.....

interesting to see how the different layers of colour make sence of the image...and how an image changes with a change of colour....
