Drawing and Painting at The Moor......

A morning drawing and painting in Lynn's garden in Reepham on Thursday 9 September.....

10-12.30.....

here is Lynn's message with instructions......

Yes the Thursday will be fine. We will have 3 scurrying places (summerhouse, gazebo and conservatory) if the weather is really bad. Don't expect English country garden though. There are some nice plants and trees but there is rubbish, old beehives, old chicken houses and a derelict greenhouse etc! Also people would be welcome to base here if they wish and walk along the Moor tor other views and interesting buildings etc. We can make parking for 2 more cars on the drive and another across the drive in front. There should be room for a couple of cars down the road and potentially as you turn into the Moor before you get to our house,  alongside a wall that is the boundary of Ruth's garden, if Ruth is agreeable! Those people that are coming on foot from Reepham, won't need to carry a chair as we can make 8 available and 2 or 3 small tables too. I will make the downstairs loo available, also tea and coffee if required.

Come down New Road, or onto the Moor from Norwich Road,  turn into the Moor at the bottom of New Road ( you wiil be going past Ruth's house The Black Lion, where there is an old post box in the wall in front of you. Continue about 50 yards and turn right at the Thatched Cottage, this is still the Moor.  We are attached to the thatched cottage and there is a beehive in the front garden.

Feel free to give people my number if  they need it. 873383. We are at The Cottage,  postcode NR10 4NL

Will you let me know if you think you will come and I will update Lynn as and when, just so she knows how many invaders she can expect!

September groups......

Don't forget to get a message to Mary, Terry or me of you want to come to the groups starting week beginning September 20. Numbers will be limited for covid reasons, so book your place please!

Safety instructions to follow!

September group meetings......

The groups expect to restart in September. Please think about whether you will want to come. We were saying today that people will need to commit because of booking the hall, and setting charges for the next term. We expect that people will be able to gravitate between the groups when they need to as before, but we will need to know about this because of 'safe' numbers in the hall.

today in the rain!

with real rain!

some people worked outside, the rain cleared mostly, and some people worked inside!

This was at Burgh next Aylsham.

Monday 9 August 2021

let me know......

and can you let me know please if any of you still get these notifications automatically.....as my understanding is that the system was going to change in July.

and here are the lilies outside my house!

Next Monday....

Next Monday, 16 August, we will meet at Burgh Next Aylsham, 10-12.30, for drawing and painting. Its free of course, just an informal meetup. Take the turning from the M and S roundabout at Aylsham, signed Burgh next Aylsham. Continue, over railway bridge, and over the river bridge, perhaps two miles in total, then opposite the war memorial turn right to the church. Park opposite the church, where there is a small car park. The ground will probably be wet.

Here are some photos. There are cows (but you can be away from them) slugs and butterflies, water, church, gravestones, reflections, trees, march views and so on.......and a pretty bridge.

There is free parking in the market place, though I am not sure for how long, we think its 90 minutes. Be careful. Check the signs. Free parking in Station Road Car park all day, walk through allyway to Market Place, and the Bircham Centre,(also the Library and Charity Shop) is on the opposite corner, just to the left of Pudding Pie alley, which is next to The Kings Head. You can also park free at Stimpsons Piece, which is signed off Station Road, with Park and Stride signs, it takes four minutes to walk from there. If you have stuff to carry you could drive past the Bircham Centre (Georgian building) leave your bags, park and walk back.

See you there!
