MC Escher

During the course of conversation, at the start of this new term, I mentioned the work of MC Escher. This was because I saw a fascinating programme about him and the relationship between his ideas and those of Professor Penrose who is a mathematician. I have checked and the programme is available on I Player, just look for The Art of MC Escher. The Art of the Impossible, in a series called Secret Knowledge. Here is just one of his prints. Some are Woodcuts and some Lithographs.

Heritage Picture Framing Services

as customers of the Heritage Picture Framing Services shop in Kings Lynn on St Ann's Street I just wanted to mention that they offer a really specialist service from the simplest framing to cleaning and conservation of pictures and gilding. They will also clean and restore existing picture frames. And they supply the most extraordinary glass which you really cannot see when in place, so no distortion and no reflection, and even protection from uv rays for your water colours.
