... at Hindolveston......

Crafts in Action are holding a series of craft workshops.  Here's a few details for all of them and an attachment with more information about the first workshop.

The first will be screen printing on 17th March (£30 per person), then “Cut, Stick and Stitch” appliqué on 14th April (£15 per person) followed by Rag Rug Making on 5th May (£25 per person). They are all on a Saturday and all equipment and materials will be provided.  They will be held in Hindolveston Village Hall.  Email me if you would like to book a place.
Join tutor Sam Wingate to find out about the different techniques used to print onto fabrics, before going on to learn the basic methods needed to screen print your own designs using paper stencils.

The techniques you will learn on this course are easily transferable to a kitchen table or home workshop with the minimal amount of equipment.

All the materials and equipment you will need for this workshop are provided including basic fabrics to print onto.  You are welcome to bring your own fabrics or a T shirt to print onto, but please make sure these are light in colour.
You don’t need any previous experience in screen printing to benefit from this workshop.
Sam Wingate grew up in Hindolveston before completing a degree in Textiles at the Norwich School of Art and latterly a Masters from the Royal College of Art in London.  He is a visiting lecturer in Printed Textiles at the London Metropolitan University and has a great deal of experience in running accessible, introductory screen printing courses.

This is the first in a series of craft workshops arranged and subsidised by Hindolveston Crafts in Action.

This course is £30 per person.  Please contact Julie Lovett to book: tel: 861789 or email julielovettcrafts@gmail.com
