See you soon.....

here is a photo taken at a village called Fatega on Gran Canaria. It was one of the strongholds of the aboriginal people who lived there and who defied the onslaught of the Spanish Conquest in the 16th Centuary, although of course they could not hold out forever. The Spanish took thirty years to destroy the people and habitat of the island. They brought in desease and animals (like cats) which continued the ruination of this amazing place.





We found



a ravine filled with palm trees and flora which gives an idea of what the habitat would have been like.....
